 Guru Nanak Dev Ji (1469–1539) was the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. Born in Rai Bhoi Ki Talwandi (now Nankana Sahib in Pakistan), he is revered for his profound spiritual teachings that emphasized equality, compassion, and devotion to one God. Teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji: 1. Ek Onkar (One God) : Guru Nanak preached that there is only one God who is formless, eternal, and omnipresent. 2. Equality : He emphasized that all humans are equal, regardless of caste, religion, or gender. He rejected rituals, superstitions, and discrimination 3. Service (Seva): Guru Nanak promoted the concept of selfless service to humanity. 4. Naam Japna : Remembering God through meditation and recitation of His name. 5. Kirat Karni : Earning an honest living through hard work. 6. Vand Chakna : Sharing wealth and resources with the needy.
